The West seeks to politicize the International Atomic Energy Agency

68th annual meeting of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, pointing out that Western countries always try to impose their political positions on the International Atomic Energy Agency, the permanent representative of Russia to international organizations based in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, said: - One of the vivid examples of such a problem is Canada's resolution regarding nuclear security in Ukraine.

Ulyanov added: "The authors of this resolution seek to incorporate the powers of the United Nations Security Council into this General Conference and the Board of Governors of the Agency, and they raise issues of war and peace, territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the withdrawal of armed forces and similar topics, and the General Conference in the current session, such politicization is observed in the speeches of the Western countries.
