Together We Stand: Iranian Women Donating Their Gold to Gaza

The war began as an embodiment of the collective will of the Iranian people, merely months after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

Within less than a year following the revolution, Iraq's Ba’athist regime, serving as a proxy for American and Western interests, launched an eight-year war against Iran. Ultimately, the military hostilities against Iran came to an end; yet, it evolved into an economic war.

Over the past fifteen years, this economic aggression has escalated, leading to unprecedented sanctions—the most severe in modern history—which have further strained the Iranian economy and made life increasingly difficult for many citizens.

Nevertheless, in spite of these financial challenges, recent gatherings in Tehran have seen hundreds of women and mothers donating their gold in solidarity with the Axis of Resistance.

For a significant number of these ladies, the jewelry represented the entirety of their lifelong savings. They did, however, show that the cause of resistance transcends all borders, demonstrating that the oppressed people of Lebanon and Gaza are, to them, like their own fellow citizens. Thereby, this deep sense of solidarity inspired them to donate their valuable ornaments.

The Israeli regime's relentless propaganda efforts aim to sow discord within the resistance front. However, instead of achieving this, unity among the supporters of the resistance movement has only grown stronger.
