Transfer Daesh Terrorists from Syria to Iraq, US Military Convoy Attacked
United States military convoy again becomes the target of attacks in Iraq's Diwaniyah province. American forces continue to move Daesh terrorist elements from areas in Syria to the Iraqi border. Iraqi media reported that a United States Armed Forces logistics convoy Monday (31/7/2023) was targeted in Iraq's Diwaniyah province. Further details of this attack have not been released. Despite having conducted several rounds of strategic negotiations between Baghdad and Washington to end the American military presence in Iraq as a result of the end of the fighting with Daesh and also the approval of a plan to expel all foreign troops from Iraqi territory in this country's parliament.
However, the United States still violated this resolution and continued its troop presence in Iraq. Iraqi media reported that an explosion occurred in the path of a military convoy of US troops passing through one of the areas in this Arab country. Saberin News Tuesday (25/7/2023) reported that a convoy carrying equipment belonging to the United States was the target of an attack in the town of Hillah which is located in the province of Babol, which is in the central region of Iraq. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion, and it is unclear whether this attack caused any casualties. The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Center said in a statement that some actions against America, including military actions, were suspended temporarily, due to the current sensitive conditions. However, this should not be taken as if the resistance forces have accepted the illegal American presence in Iraq.
The Iraqi Resistance stated that America's presence violated the country's constitution and warned that Washington should not interfere in Iraq's internal affairs. After Iraq's parliament approved the withdrawal of foreign troops from the country and Baghdad's delay in the matter, convoys supporting the American coalition were targeted by roadside bombs every week, sometimes several times a day. The Iraqi group stressed that the Iraqi government should expel foreign troops from Iraq by adhering to the resolutions of this country's parliament.
