Ukraine hit Russian territory with American ATACMS ballistic missiles

The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation with American ATACMS ballistic missiles at night, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed, detailing that 5 of the missiles were hit by the Panzir complex, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.  

"Tonight at 03:25, the enemy hit the facility in Bryansk region with six ballistic missiles. According to confirmed data, US-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles were used. As a result of the anti-missile battle, the combat crews of the С 400 air defense system and the "Pantsir" air defense missile system shot down 5 missiles and damaged 1," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Fragments of ATACMS fell in the technical area of ​​one of the military facilities of Bryansk region, a fire broke out.To remind, RBK Ukraine, referring to a well-informed source in the armed forces of Ukraine, wrote that the country's defense forces hit Russian territory with ATACMS ballistic missiles for the first time.

Yesterday, a number of authoritative media wrote that the USA allowed Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory with the weapons it supplied. However, the official Washington has not yet confirmed the information.
