The Russian news agency, Sputnik, Thursday (23/11/2023) citing Syrian media sources, reported that a US military base in Deir Ezzor Province, in eastern Syria, was attacked. The source added, "The United States military base, located in the Koniko gas field, in Deir Ezzor, was hit by four rockets." Earlier on Sunday, Syrian media reported successive attacks on US military bases in eastern Syria and rocket attacks on the US base in Koniko. Several hours later, a concentration of United States troops, at the Al Tanf military base, eastern Syria, was also attacked by two drones. A US official recently reported that a number of soldiers in this country were injured as a result of Monday's attack by resistance forces on a US military base in Iraq. "Our troops at the Ain Al Assad military base, Iraq, were targeted by a missile attack that left 10 soldiers injured," he said. US Department of Defense Deputy Spokesperson Sabrina Singh confirmed repeated attacks on the country's military bases in the Middle East, since Israel's war on Gaza began, which left 62 soldiers injured.
