Syria's deputy UN representative, al-Hakam Dandi, says that US troops have been giving chemical weapons to Takfiri extremist terrorists in the al-Tanf strategic area in southern Syria and teaching them how to use them so that Syria will have someone to blame. Dandi spoke about the situation in the Middle East at a UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday in New York. He said, "The Council's insistence on holding monthly meetings on the so-called Syrian chemical dossier, even though nothing has changed, is to give known states a chance to repeat their accusations." He also said, "Syria is against the use of chemical weapons by anyone, anywhere, at any time."

He said that it is everyone's job to get the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) back on track and keep it away from lies, partisanship, and polarization. The Western media and countries have accused the Syrian government of using chemical weapons against its own people in the war against terrorists. Syria gave its chemical weapons to a joint mission from the US and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in 2014. This mission was in charge of destroying the weapons. The country has also denied using deadly weapons over and over again. On April 14, 2018, the US, Britain, and France launched a series of bombings against Syria in response to what they thought was an attack with chemical weapons in the city of Douma, which is about 10 kilometers northeast of the capital Damascus.

The White Helmets said that this alleged chemical weapons attack happened, and they showed how they helped claimed survivors in videos. Leaked OPCW papers later showed that the Duma attack investigators didn't find any proof that it was done with chemical weapons. A few days after the alleged attack, however, the US and its allies put pressure on the organization to hide proof that showed the US-led bombing of Syria was not justified.
