A police officer was killed and another person was injured in a shooting in the parking lot of Philadelphia International Airport. According to the CNN news agency, "John Stanford", the acting commissioner of the Philadelphia Police, announced in a press conference on the killing and wounding of the two police officers, that these two officers were involved in a conflict with people who were in the window of a car at the airport, were killed at Philadelphia International Airport. As officers approached the crime scene, Stanford added, "the suspects opened fire," hitting one officer several times in the upper body, who died in hospital. Another officer was shot in the arm. The Philadelphia Inquirer said in a report that the suspects fled in a stolen Dodge Durango and police are looking for them. This newspaper writes that an 18-year-old boy was thrown out of a car of the same specification, shot twice and later declared dead. The shooting comes just a week after three officers were shot and wounded while responding to a call. The high number of firearms (120 firearms per hundred people), the ineffective law that limits trade and the freedom to bear arms, the significant influence and power of the powerful arms producing lobbies in the USA are the main factors of gun violence in this country.
