On March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia, with the cooperation of a number of regional allies, began a clear military invasion against the Yemeni people. Saudi Arabia carried out this brutal aggression under the pretext of "restoring legitimacy". They targeted Yemeni civilians and the country's infrastructure in the first hours of the military strike.

Aref Al-Amiri, the spokesman for the Human Rights Ministry of Yemen's National Salvation Government, said in an interview with al-Maalomah news agency on Monday that some 8,000 children have been killed during the eight-year war waged by the Saudi regime.

Yemeni children live in very difficult physical and mental conditions, health problems, murder, displacement, asylum and violation of all their rights due to the total blockade imposed by the Saudi regime on Yemen.

Abdullah al-Suwaidi, adviser to Yemen's transport ministry, also told al-Maalomah that as a result of Saudi coalition attacks over the past eight years, damage to Yemen's land, sea and air transport infrastructure amounted to six billions of dollars.

Even the legal organization "Entesaf", which has recorded violations of the rights of Yemeni women and children, announced a few weeks ago in a report that 5,000 Yemeni women were killed or injured during the eight years of war.

According to Entesaf, a Yemeni woman and six children die every two hours due to poor health and lack of access to health care and services during pregnancy or childbirth. In addition, more than 1.5 million pregnant or breastfeeding Yemeni women suffer from malnutrition.
