Zelensky Likely to be Replaced as President of Ukraine
Advisor to the former president of Ukraine announced the possibility of removing Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of this country. The war in Ukraine, backed by the West, is still ongoing more than a year later. The continuation of this war occurred when Ukrainian President Zelensky recently said, "If the United States stops its military and financial assistance to Kyiv, we will continue the war with Russia." Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to two former Ukrainian presidents, said that Volodymyr Zelensky's reluctance to negotiate peace with Russia could lead to his ouster. “Zelensky's actions will make some of his supporters in the West think that they should put someone else in Kyiv,” Soskin said on his YouTube channel. The former Ukrainian presidential official emphasized that the issue of peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine has become a common problem not only in Russia but also in the West. Meanwhile, Vladislav Seleznev, former spokesman for the Joint Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that the country's military planted half a million land mines in the border areas with Russia and Belarus. Selzenov added that around 500,000 mines had been planted in the Kyiv, Rono, Volyn and Zhitomir regions. Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities accused Russia of increasing landmines and even said that one of the reasons for the slow progress of the counterattack against Russia were these landmines. On the other hand, the Associated Press reported Sunday that the Russian army has stepped up its attacks in eastern Ukraine with the help of its air force.
