2024 Aliyev's first warning to Armenia. Don't annoy us with inappropriate actions

"The leadership of Armenia should draw the correct conclusions from historical lessons and behave in such a way as not to anger us." Aliyev also continued: "Double standards are widespread in the West today. The people of Azerbaijan are well aware of this problem, and at the same time they know very well that despite all pressures, threats and groundless accusations, we will do what we think is right. He made these statements when a high-ranking official of Azerbaijan recently said that there are no serious obstacles to signing a peace treaty with Armenia. Hikmet Hajiyev, the assistant of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, told TRT news that the talks between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Aliyev during the summit of the CIS countries in St. Petersburg, Russia, were "constructive". "We do not see any other serious obstacles to the signing of a peace treaty between the two countries," Hajiyev said, without specifying the possible dates of the negotiations.
