470 days of Terror

After 470 days of unrelenting violence and atrocities committed against Palestinian civilians, the Israeli regime does not perceive itself as victorious in the war on Gaza. The desperation of those living in Occupied Palestine [Israel] is evident in local media reports:

Yedioth Ahronoth characterized the ceasefire agreement as one that came at an exorbitant price, a cost borne primarily by the families of dead Israeli soldiers, with little tangible outcome. Ma'ariv reported on internal dissent within the ruling Likud party, as members expressed discontent with the terms of the agreement. Meanwhile, Israel Hayom published provocative, belligerent commentary advocating for further military aggression, suggesting that a new offensive, rather than the implementation of the ceasefire’s second phase, would be the proper course of action.

Over 60% of Israelis regard the ceasefire as nothing less than a defeat, expressing their discontent with the end of war. Most immigrants who came to occupied Palestine, historically supportive of increased military aggression against Palestinians, are now confronting a harsh reality: Israel has devolved into something resembling a militarized camp. In this environment, every individual is compelled to serve in the armed forces, and the very concept of civilian life has been eroded.
