Ordinary citizens are the main victims of the war for power between the military generals in Sudan

The fight for power between the military generals who lead two groups, namely the Sudanese Army (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has flared up in El Fasher since May 10. The town has three refugee camps. One of those camps is Abu Shouk which has around 1.5 million refugees. Eight hundred thousand of these refugees are internal refugees. That is according to United Nations statistics.

Sudan has experienced a major conflict between the SAF and the RSF since April 15, 2023. Approximately 20,000 people have been killed and millions of others have become refugees inside and outside Sudan.
