James Elder, the spokesman for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), has described the dire situation in Sudan right now and said it is similar to "the largest displacement of children in the world" stressing that 4 million children have been forced to leave their homes in Sudan.. He said: "Statistics show that 13,000 children are displaced every day in the past 300 days." For its part, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs OCHA recently called for the allocation of 2.7 billion US dollars to address the urgent needs in Sudan, but foreign powers have failed to provide the funds so far. According to OCHA, only four percent of the funds have been released so far. The main victims of the war of lust for power in Sudan are women and young children This is happening while the deadly bloody war between the military generals is getting hotter since it started in April 2023. The bad situation is being witnessed while the warring parties in Sudan fail to show any signs of ending the power hungry war. The recent visit of James Elder, the spokesman for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Darfur, Sudan, revealed some terrible and sad things. UNICEF statistics say that more than 700,000 children are suffering from severe malnutrition and UNICEF can only treat less than half of those children, so more and urgent help is needed.
