A delegation of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has left Cairo, the capital of Egypt, to hold further consultations on a new proposal made for the exchange of hostages.
The Palestinian news agency SAMA earlier today reported that the delegation of the Hamas movement has left Cairo after receiving a new proposal about exchanging hostages and talking under the mediation of Egypt and Qatar and receiving advice from those parties. The Hamas delegation will return to Cairo with a written response to the proposed ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Ihsan Ataya, the representative of the Political Office of the Palestinian Jihadul Islami Movement, said that the proposal cannot lead to the cessation of war in the Gaza Strip due to the content and complexity of the proposal.
Israel's Hume newspaper has claimed that the Zionist regime is ready to accept Hamas' conditions to stop the war and respond to all the demands of the movement except to declare an end to the war after a round of hostage exchanges.
The Israeli newspaper has written that: Israel plans to set aside 10 days to 2 weeks to reach an agreement with Hamas to release a number of Israeli hostages.
