A research institute in Germany has fired a professor for defending Palestine
A prominent research institute in Germany has blacked out a pro-Palestinian anthropology professor, after the scholar criticized the ongoing attacks by the Zionist regime of Israel against the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
Arab News has reported the news and explained that the Max Planck Society Research Institute has terminated its contract with the Tajik academician Ghassan Hage, due to several of his publications in social networks that are not compatible with 'social values'. The famous German research institute has claimed in a statement that: Racism, hatred against Islam, hatred against Jews, discrimination, incitement and hatred have no place in the Max Planck Society. The University of Melbourne professor with dual citizenship of Lebanon and Australia has strongly condemned the Max Planck Society Research Institute's decision to fire him, due to his action to use his freedom of expression to criticize Israel's crimes in Gaza. Hatred against Islam has increased in Germany According to the civil society Turkish-Islamic Union (DITIB), the feelings of hatred against Islam, Muslims and their nobles have increased to an alarming level in Germany, since the illegal Israeli regime started its barbaric attacks against the Palestinians of Gaza in October 7 last year 2023. This comes less than a week after a sociology professor sacked by the University of Bristol in the UK over his anti-Zionist views won a landmark decision at the Employment Tribunal, which ruled that he had been discriminated against because of his views. Professor David Miller was sacked by the University of Bristol in October 2021 after he made statements about the role of the Zionist movement in promoting hatred against Islam.
