Josep Borrell made the call while addressing the press after his meeting with EU development aid ministers in Brussels yesterday Monday. Borrell said this following the remarks of US President Joe Biden last week when he explained that Israel's response to the operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza had "exceeded the limit" as well as from the comments made by other Western leaders who frequently they have been saying too many civilians are being killed in Gaza. The European Union's foreign policy chief has said: "well, if you believe that so many people are being killed [in Gaza], maybe you should give less weapons to prevent more people from being killed". Josep Borrell Borrell has explained that it is a contradiction for the country to announce repeatedly that Israel is killing too many civilians, but they do not take any effective measures to prevent the killing. "If the international community believes that this is a massacre, and that so many people are being killed, maybe we should think about giving weapons [to Israel]", added the senior EU official. It should be noted that the United States, which is Israel's biggest ally, provides the Zionist regime with military aid of 3.8 billion dollars every year. In addition, since October 7, 2023, Washington has provided Tel Aviv with more than 10,000 tons of weapons when the illegal regime started its war of genocide against the Palestinians of Gaza. The brutal military attacks have so far claimed the lives of more than 28,300 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and injured more than 67,900 others.
