Action needs to be taken against Netanyahu's plan to make Lebanon another Gaza

In recent days, the Zionist regime has expanded the scope of its crimes from Gaza to Lebanon and by abusing the negligence of regional and international institutions, it is implementing its cruel policy of destroying everything in the Arab country.

Now after almost a year of the Gaza war, the Zionist regime has turned its attention to the northern borders of the occupied territories (Israel) and increased its air strikes, especially in the east and south of Lebanon after carrying out a terrorist attack by hacking and blowing up electronic communications equipment. 

In Tuesday's attack on Lebanon, the Zionist regime of Israel, as it did in Gaza, has mostly targeted civilian areas. In that one-day attack, more than 500 civilians were martyred and almost 1,700 others were injured. According to Lebanese officials, this is the highest number of people killed in one day since the country's civil war of 1975-1990.

Likewise, due to the massive aerial attacks of the Zionist regime, thousands of residents of southern Lebanon have been forced to leave their homes.

About a quarter of Lebanon's population lives in the southern parts, where they are estimated at 800,000 people. It is said that despite the famine, one hundred thousand people among them had to leave their homes, but they are still in southern Lebanon.

Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, has said that Netanyahu aims to turn the southern part of Lebanon into a completely burnt land, where he is using phosphorous bombs to destroy agricultural lands along with demolishing houses and killing civilians. He added that Lebanon does not want war but has the right to defend itself and will not hesitate to take any measures to ensure the people of southern Lebanon are protected in order to prevent the Zionist regime from evicting them from their homes.

The scope and escalation of airstrikes by the Zionist regime of Israel, which began immediately after the unusual cyber killing of more than 4,000 owners of electronic devices, including pagers, has caused great concern in international circles, although no practical measures are being taken. against the Israeli terrorism.

Stephane Dujarric, the Spokesman of the Secretary General of the United Nations has said that the union has an important role in reducing tensions in Lebanon, but this issue requires the will of political leaders while the major nations fail to take urgent measures to end the war in the country.

Pointing to the unrest in West Asia, the UN Secretary General has warned that Lebanon could turn into "another Gaza".

The peacekeeping forces of the United Nations in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) have mentioned the attacks of the Israeli army against civilians in the country as a violation of international agreements and war crimes and want them to be stopped immediately.

Josep Burrell, the foreign policy official of the European Union, has once again called for the full implementation of Resolution 1701 of the Security Council. On August 11, 2006, the Security Council passed a resolution to fully end hostilities between Lebanon and the Zionist regime of Israel.

Although such positions of the European Union are necessary and show the extent of the concern of international circles, but taking into account the magnitude of the human disaster caused by the unusual attacks of the Zionist regime against civilian areas in Lebanon and the possibility of these attacks turning into a regional war, it is not enough to just make statements that are not implemented in practice. There is a need to take practical measures in order to prevent the aggression of the Zionist administration of Israel against other nations.

According to reliable reports, the Zionist regime is planning to launch a ground attack in Lebanon. In order to prepare for that, the Zionist army has announced to send the forces that were in Gaza to the Lebanese border.

Undoubtedly, there is an error at the highest military and political levels of the Zionist administration regarding the matter. Some want a bigger and broader attack on Lebanon, saying that Tel Aviv should seize the opportunity created by Hizbullah, but some, including Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, support the current strategy of a smaller war. 

Netanyahu has derailed all efforts to end the war in Gaza in order to provide the necessary time to prolong the war and reach the date of the US presidential election, in order to help Trump win the election. With that in mind, it is possible that thousands of Lebanese, like more than two million people in Gaza, will become victims of the American election campaign.
