The resolution was passed last night with 120 votes in favor and 14 against, with 45 countries abstaining from voting. The Zionist regime of Israel and the United States have voted against the resolution. The member states of the United Nations Security Council since the beginning of the fighting between the groups of the struggle for the liberation of Palestine and the Zionist regime until now had failed to pass any resolution for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza. The interesting point is that, the efforts of Western countries to include some articles in the resolution that condemn the struggle of the Palestinian people against the hostile enemy have hit a rock. In relation to that issue, Canada's move to seek support for Israel and block the resolution proposed by the Arab countries, has come to naught. Canada, supported by the United States, submitted an amendment to the resolution and called for condemnation of what it called "terrorist attacks by Hamas" against the violent Israeli regime.

Palestinian activists The adoption of the resolution by the General Assembly of the United Nations in its first step for implementing as soon as possible the cessation of hostilities in Gaza shows the responsibility and demand of the international community to end the crimes and the anti-human actions of the Zionist regime against the oppressed citizens. of Palestine as soon as possible, especially the residents of the Gaza Strip, who for more than three weeks now are facing heavy Israeli bomb attacks. The attacks have so far killed more than 7 thousand people, wounded almost 20 thousand and destroyed a large part of the Gaza Strip. Vassily Nebenzia, Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, has said that the approval of the UN General Assembly on Gaza shows the victory of common sense and justice. Nebenzia said: The resolution is the victory of a healthy mind, justice and humanitarian considerations. Vassily Nebenzia At the same time, the adoption of the resolution by the UN General Assembly on Gaza means some kind of withdrawal from the current stalemate within the UN Security Council regarding the adoption of a resolution to end the war in Gaza. The Security Council, due to its special structure and also the control authority of the five permanent member countries, i.e. the countries with the right of veto, has so far failed to reach a unanimous agreement to pass a resolution to end the war in Gaza due to and the conflicting attitudes of the permanent members of the Western bloc ie the United States, England and France on the one hand, and the Eastern bloc ie Russia and China on the other.

At the same time, the action of the members of the Western bloc in the UN Security Council, led by the United States, to push for the non-implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza; and on the other hand, the criticism of the Palestinian resistance groups, especially the Hamas movement, has faced the opposition of Russia and China, who opposed the draft resolution presented by the United States. On the other hand, Washington has also opposed the articles of the resolutions proposed by Russia after disagreeing with its articles, including the article that emphasizes the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. In fact, the United States, being the main and unconditional supporter of the Zionist regime, does not want to see Israel facing sanctions and pressure for its actions against the Palestinians and resistance groups. In that field, the White House this morning has announced that it has not done anything to the Zionist regime's army or marked a red line for it. John Kirby, spokesman for the Security Council of the White House of the President of the United States, has said: We have not defined any red line for Israel. We continue to provide Israel with the security assistance it needs.

"The United States justifies the crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza in a situation where it calls the actions of Hamas against the Zionist invaders as acts of terrorism. In that context, Joe Biden has admitted that many Palestinian citizens have lost  and said: The number of deaths is part of the costs of the war.  This has once again revealed the hypocritical and hypocritical positions of the United States. Currently, the Zionist regime is continuing the brutal killings against the citizens of the Gaza Strip with the permission and political and military support of the United States. while Washington opposes and prevents any resolution against the crimes of the illegal Zionist regime.
