America threatened North Korea and Russia with sanctions
A US State Department spokesman said on Monday ahead of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that Washington would not hesitate to impose sanctions against the two countries. According to AAA, Matthew Miller told reporters that the arms transfer from North Korea to Russia was a violation of several UN Security Council resolutions and said:
"Washington will not hesitate to impose new sanctions on Moscow and Pyongyang accordingly." After North Korea and Russia announced that Kim Jong Un had decided to visit Moscow at the invitation of Vladimir Putin, the White House asked Pyongyang not to supply or sell weapons to Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Moscow and said the meeting will be detailed. Noting that bilateral relations will be a priority in the negotiations, he added: This meeting could take place in the next few days.
