An organization supporting the development of international cooperation "Eurasia" was established in Russia

During the presentation held at the international multimedia press center "Rossia Segodnya", the Vice Chairman of the Council of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev expressed his belief that in terms of building relations with other countries, activities at the level of civil society are more important than official diplomacy.

An organization supporting the development of international cooperation "Eurasia" was established in Russia

During the presentation held at the international multimedia press center "Rossia Segodnya", the Vice Chairman of the Council of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev expressed his belief that in terms of building relations with other countries, activities at the level of civil society are more important than official diplomacy.

According to Kosachev's confession, he came to such a belief from his own experience.

Kosachev emphasized that in Russia, unlike Western countries, issues related to relations between different peoples, ethnic and religious groups have been successfully resolved. Accordingly, the developed traditions of civilized interethnic communication will contribute to the participation of the countries of the Eurasian area in the activities of the new organization, he concluded.

The non-profit organization "Eurasia" will strengthen the business and cultural ties of the countries of the post-Soviet area. "Eurasia" will support young people, businessmen, sportsmen, culture, science and education figures, as well as representatives of other fields uniting the countries of the post-Soviet area.

The work of the organization will cover such directions as culture and education, economy and business, youth exchanges and practice, common information space, interreligious cooperation, sports and tourism, preservation of unifying historical heritage.
