Entering the war in Ukraine at a new stage and intensifying the conflict between Russia and NATO
Recent events in the war in Ukraine, namely the decision of Western countries to give permission to Ukraine to attack Russia using long-range weapons of the United States and Europe on the one hand, and Russia using a new medium-range missile with a higher speed of the voice against Ukraine as a strong warning to the West, has raised a great and unprecedented conflict between Russia and NATO.
This issue has been criticized even in European countries that are members of NATO. The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, has criticized the decision of US President Joe Biden to give permission to Ukraine to target Russian land with US long-range missiles, calling it a surprising decision that will increase international tension. Robert Fico has emphasized that even the United States will not be safe from the effects of the issue.
The senior European official has criticized the deliberate steps taken by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, to plunge the United States as much as possible into the war in Ukraine, which will eventually make Donald Trump, the country's elected president who will take the presidency on January 20, 2025, face to face and the crisis. Mikhail Malov, former senior security policy analyst of the US Department of Defense, says: Ukraine's use of ATACMS long-range missiles will not change the course of the war, on the contrary, it will exacerbate the crisis. He added that: These bad actions of Biden have political reasons; and the new government of Donald Trump, the elected president of the United States, will fail in the future, because if he does not support this decision during his presidency, the position of his government will be weak.
Despite this, Europe, which is concerned about the change in the current US policy regarding the war in Ukraine and the sharp reduction of the country's aid to Ukraine, has welcomed Biden's decision. Likewise, after Washington gave permission to Ukraine to attack Russian territory with an ATACMS missile that can hit a distance of 300 kilometers, Britain and France also agreed to give permission to Kiev to attack Russian territories with Storm Shadow / SCALP missiles that hit a distance of 500 kilometers.
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, announced on Thursday in an important speech to the people and the armed forces of the country that Ukraine used long-range Western weapons to attack Russian soil.
Given that Russia previously warned the West about the action of the West to allow Ukraine to attack Russian soil using Western long-range weapons, Moscow has taken a different step to give a strong warning to the West and NATO. In the first step, President Vladimir Putin signed the country's New Nuclear Guidelines, which lower the conditions for using nuclear weapons. President Putin's order gives Moscow permission to use nuclear weapons against a "non-nuclear-weapon state" as long as that country is backed by a nuclear power.
In its second move to warn the West and NATO in an unprecedented move, Russia for the first time used a new supersonic medium-range ballistic missile to attack Ukrainian soil. Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the country's military has carried out a joint attack on the military defense and industrial center of Ukraine in response to an attack on Russian land where long-range missiles from the United States and the United Kingdom were used. Putin noted that: "In the attacks, one of Russia's new medium-range missile systems, a non-nuclear ultrasonic hypersonic missile named "Oreshnik", was successfully tested.
His counterpart, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, pointed to Putin's speech about the successful use of a non-nuclear ballistic missile to target Ukraine's military defense and industrial facilities and emphasized that the Russian President wants to escalate the war.
Russia's move to use a new long-range missile to attack Ukraine is a strong warning to Western countries, especially European Union NATO member countries, that they should wait for the missiles to land in their countries if provocative and military actions against Russia continue.
