Another port blocked by American protesters
Protesters blockaded the US port of Tacoma to stop ships allegedly heading towards the Zionist regime. According to the Seattle Times, hundreds of people blocked the entrance to the port of Tacoma until late morning to prevent cargo from loading onto the US military supply ship MV Cape Orlando. The 635-foot vessel is part of the U.S. National Defense Reserve fleet and has served in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. During the 12-hour demonstration, some people walked in a circle, some waved Palestinian flags, and some held signs reading: “We will not help Israel,” “Cease fire now,” and “We will resist to the last.” Protesters believe that this ship is transporting military equipment and weapons to the occupied territories. Alon Lapid of the United Student Association for Palestinian Equality and Return at the University of Washington said the protest began at 5 a.m. Protesters used cars to block roads and gates, forcing the ship's workers to return. According to the Tacoma News Tribune, police were positioned outside the terminal fence. By supporting the Zionist regime with weapons, the United States of America has paved the way for that regime to continue its crimes of murdering children.
