The President of Turkmenistan plans to create a transit corridor to connect the country with Iran, Iraq and Turkey. According to the AAA news agency on Wednesday, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that Ashgabat plans to create a transit corridor that will connect Turkmenistan, Iran, Iraq and Turkey.
The President of Turkmenistan stated at the second international conference and exhibition "International transport and transit corridors" in Ashgabat that in the future, with the creation of the east-west corridor, Turkmenistan, Iran, Iraq and Turkey will be connected to each other.
Berdi Mohammadov also said that the construction of the east-central Turkmenistan highway will also make international ports of the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus region, Europe, southern Russia, northern Iran, the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz accessible to Uzbekistan.
