“An example of it is insulting the Holy Qur’an - what an ignorant idiot does and a government supports it,” the Leader told a group of people, government officials, ambassadors of Islamic countries, and guests of the International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran on Tuesday.

“This shows that the issue is not just the scene and the insult to the Qur’an. Our issue is with the planners of this crime and hateful act. They think they can weaken the Qur’an, but they are wrong and they ruin themselves,” he said.

Again according to the Leader, "those who, under the pretext of "freedom of expression" and similar lies, justify the desecration of the Koran, destroy their own reputation. In these countries where offenses against the Koran are permitted, it is permitted to offend the symbols of Zionism ?"

Ayatollah Khamenei then turned to the Islamic countries, which "if they formed an alliance, which power would have to renounce plunder and arrogance? America. If nations such as Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan...followed a single line on major issues, the powers would no longer be able to interfere in their internal affairs."

The Supreme Leader then returned to talk about the interference of foreign powers, asking this question: "Why do some nations accept them? Because they are alone. If we were allies, America would not have the courage to meddle and steal. The authorities of nations and elites should reflect and think about the interests that this could entail."

Regarding the Palestinian issue, the Leader underlined that "governments that focus on normalization with the Zionist regime will lose out. As the Europeans say, they are betting on the losing horse, while the occupying Zionist regime will leave. Today, young Palestinians and the anti-occupation movement in Palestine, are the most alert and prepared of the last 70-80 years, and God willing, this movement will be victorious. Imam Khomeini defined the occupying regime as a tumor, and this tumor will undoubtedly come uprooted from the people of Palestine. - The Zionist regime is dying."
