According to Sabrina Singh, resistance groups attacked US bases 66 times in Iraq and 98 times in Syria. 80 American soldiers were also injured of varying degrees of severity. The US military and associated elements have been illegally present in northern and eastern Syria for a long time and, in addition to plundering the country's oil resources and grain, have carried out reprisals against residents and attacks against Syrian forces in the region. US West Asia, Central Asia and East Africa Command (CENTCOM) acknowledged on Sunday evening that three troops were killed and 25 others were wounded in a drone attack on the country's military base in the Rukban region in the southern Sirit. Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, responded to reports of American soldiers being killed and wounded in Syria: "This attack sends a clear signal to American policy in the Arab world." Also, Sami Abu Zahari, one of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), reacted to reports of dead and wounded American soldiers in Syria and said: “This is a message to Washington about the killing of Gazans.” In response to recent attacks on American soldiers, Abu Ala al-Walai, secretary general of Kataib Seyed al-Shahada, one of the Iraqi Islamic resistance groups, said: “The heart of America is hurt by the death of three soldiers, but they are not hurt by martyrdom and wounding thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip." He said thousands of Palestinians were martyred and wounded in Gaza by Zionist forces using American weapons, adding that America had lost international sympathy and was living in virtual isolation today.
