Austrian MP opposes plan to ban hijab
In a released video file, Martha Bissmann, a member of the Austrian parliament, donned a hijab to protest Austria's plan to ban the hijab. Wearing a head scarf, Bismann says in this film: “Look at me… Has anything changed? Am I not Martha Bismann, engineer, environmental researcher, defender of women's freedom and rights, and member of the Austrian Parliament? .
She further notes: “I have had the privilege of meeting Muslim women over the past few months. You want to punish Muslim women, women among whom there are doctors, teachers, scientists, employees and workers, and these women and girls are very successful in society.
A member of the Austrian Parliament emphasized: “Muslim women themselves believe that the hijab is not an obstacle to their success and progress, instead of talking about these women, you should listen to them and learn from these people many values, including forgiveness and solidarity.”
Anti-Islamism in European countries is carried out by initiating legal cases against Muslims, insulting Islamic shrines, widespread negative propaganda against Islam and Muslims, as well as applying various restrictions to them, including a ban on wearing the Islamic hijab.
