Azerbaijan and the Turkish company Baykar signed a new agreement.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the Turkish company "Baykar" have signed a cooperation agreement on joint research, development and production.
The Turkish company expressed hope that "the agreement will lead to good results".
EU chief spokesperson Peter Stano stated that the union is not a military alliance, adding: "We have no plans to conduct joint military exercises with Armenia."
He noted: "There is no plan to conduct a joint military exercise with Armenia, because the EU is not a military alliance, but a structure based on political and economic values. The European Union also does not plan to train the Armenian military in the territory of the member states.
Referring to the possibility of providing non-armed support to the Armenian army through the "European Peace" structure, Stano said that no concrete decision has been made in this regard yet.
During the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, EU Foreign Policy Officer Josep Borel spoke about security and defense cooperation with Yerevan.
