The participants of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement will continue to visit other cities of Armenia. During the rally organized in Gyumri, the leader of the movement, Saint Bagrat, announced this.

He did not say which cities they will visit and when.

"We will still go to a couple of cities, and the rest of the actions will be in Yerevan," said the reverend.

Today's rally ended with the action "Nikol's balloon words". The young people blew up the balloons they brought with them, on which were written the statements made by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at different times, for example, "Artsakh is Armenia, and that's it."

The authorities use disproportionate force against the participants of the protests because they receive disproportionate external support. The 3rd President of RA, Serzh Sargsyan, said this in a conversation with journalists today.

"First of all, I mean the collective West. Because traditionally, non-Western countries and our allied countries excluded any announcements about our internal life. We are a member of the Council of Europe, and the member states of the Council of Europe are obliged to deal with this matter," he said.

According to Serzh Sargsyan, during his presidency, there was not a single incident where the police used disproportionate force and there was no reaction to it.

"If a deputy was beaten in our time, we would not be the ones to do something, they would do it from outside. So that the deputy was beaten and a criminal case was not opened, such a thing was excluded in our case," said Sargsyan.

As for supporting the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, Serzh Sargsyan said that he and his party members support the candidate nominated by Saint Bagrat.

"He himself said that he is a candidate, so we support him. The Constitution provides an opportunity for 2/3 of the parliament to change the clause that prohibits dual citizens from occupying the highest positions in Armenia. In other words, it is a way out, a little more difficult way out than simply expressing no confidence, but it is also a way out," said Serzh Sargsyan.

He also referred to the case of the police banning the Catholicos from entering the Sardarapat Memorial and said that it is beyond all legal and moral norms.

Let us add that the court of general jurisdiction of the first instance of the city of Yerevan acquitted the third president of RA today.
