Political scientists note that the military threat is part of Baku's blackmail to pressure official Yerevan to accept Azerbaijan's desired conditions. Azerbaijani expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan said regarding the recent increase in tension between Yerevan and Baku, that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev wants to solve all the problems of the region by force and through war. According to the news website "Facts of the Caucasus"  Hayrapetyan stated. "It is obvious that Azerbaijan wants to create new hotbeds for the escalation of tension." Political analyst Naira Hayrumyan also said: "Pashinyan announced at the government meeting that all previous agreements can be canceled. The Prime Minister has clearly said that all statements and actions of Aliyev will lead to a full-scale war. This war may start with local conflicts. I think this is his main message. Why he said this is another question, because it is obvious that he did not prepare the people for such a process. This is probably a part of military blackmail, which will be carried out by Aliyev on the one hand, and Pashinyan on the other. They want to justify the concessions and steps that are interpreted by public opinion as a threat of war."

Tigran Abrahamyan writes: "Today marks the 36th anniversary of the Artsakh movement, which for several decades has symbolized the collective will and righteous aspiration of the Armenian people to manage their own destiny and the determination to fight for national ideas. On February 20, 1988, the extraordinary session of the Nagorno Karabakh Regional Council adopted a historic decision expressing the will of the people of Artsakh for free self-determination and starting the revival of Artsakh. This path was difficult and thorny, but the idea was so strong that many people put their lives on the line to achieve their goal. This created an opportunity for struggle and victory not only for Artsakh, but also for Armenia, because the Azeri attacks that started later were not only in the direction of Artsakh, but in the direction of Armenia, from Meghri, Yeraskh to Tavush. In these difficult times for the Armenian people, this day should not be an occasion for despair or a nightmare, but it should be a record of the fact that in the most difficult days, Armenians are able to unite on the basis of an idea and conduct their decisive battle, regardless of whether the enemy is inside. or outside? Today's struggle is also a manifestation of respect for all those martyrs who died for the sake of tomorrow and for the defense of Artsakh and Armenia."
