Belgium does not allow Ukraine to use its weapons to attack Russian territory

"Alexander de Crowe", the prime minister of Belgium, emphasizing the continuation of Brussels' support for Kiev, said: The F-16 planes donated by Belgium will only be used inside Ukraine, and Kiev is not allowed to use them in an attack on interior of Russian territory.

According to Euronews, citing the Belga news site, the Prime Minister of Belgium, who is currently in Washington at the invitation of Joe Biden, will discuss and exchange views with the President of the United States on the continuation of Western support for Ukraine. Referring to the 10-year bilateral security agreement he signed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier this week, De Crowe said: Our most significant military contribution to Kiev is the delivery of 30 F-16 fighter jets, making us the largest suppliers of combat aircraft for the Ukrainian Air Force. He further said that the donation of these planes was made under special conditions and added: Our agreement with Kiev regarding the fighter planes donated to them is very clear. These planes should be used only on the territory of Ukraine and this is the agreement we have made and we expect Kiev to respect it. Recalling that the United States and some other NATO members in recent days have allowed Kiev to use their donated weapons against military targets on Russian territory, De Crowe emphasized: Belgium does not agree that Kiev uses weapons donated by Brussels against military targets on Russian soil.
