Biden said: America and NATO are not involved in the latest events in Russia

While US newspapers reported that US intelligence agencies knew about the Wagner attack, US President Joe Biden said on Monday evening Tehran time that the country and NATO were not involved in the latest events in Russia.

According to the EuroNews agency, Biden continued his statement and said that the situation in Russia is part of the struggle within the Russian system. The US President spoke about the unwavering support for Ukraine and said: Washington will continue to support the defense capability and sovereignty of Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an exclusive interview with the Russian TV channel Rossiya Segodnya that Russian intelligence agencies are investigating the possibility of Western intelligence agencies being involved in the June 24 events (the country's recent armed insurgency).

The Wagner militia group, commanded by Yevgeny Prigozhin, launched an armed mutiny last Friday, claiming that Russian army forces had attacked the group's positions. After that, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the actions of forces under the command of Prigozhin "treason within the country" and "armed rebellion" and warned of its consequences.

An hour later on Saturday evening, Yevgeny Prigozhin released an audio recording of his positions in exchange for security guarantees.
Thus, the uprising of the Wagner group ended in less than 24 hours.
