The Washington Post, citing US officials, reported: "Anthony Blinken, the Biden administration's secretary of state, suggested that Zionist regime officials should think seriously about planning after the end of the conflicts in Gaza." According to The Washington Post, Blinken presented a plan for the future of Gaza based on his meetings with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan and Turkey. During his visit to occupied Palestine, the US Secretary of State met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant, Foreign Minister Israel Katz and Israeli cabinet member Benny Gantz. In these meetings, Blinken, while emphasizing the United States' strong support for the Zionist regime, emphasized continued efforts to free all Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip. In his meeting with Netanyahu and the Israeli military cabinet, he stressed the importance of preventing civilian casualties in the regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip and increasing aid to the Palestinian people in the enclave. Blinken also emphasized the need to achieve lasting peace for Israel and the region through the creation of a Palestinian state. In a meeting with the Zionist regime's Minister of War, the American official, while supporting the Zionist regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip in response to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, called for preventing the spread and escalation of the war in Western Asia, including Lebanon and the West Bank. “This is a moment of deep tension in the region. This is a conflict that could easily metastasize, causing more instability and more suffering,” Blinken said earlier at a news conference in Doha alongside Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Ale-Thani.
