According to the Reuters report, Borrell wrote on Sunday in a note on the European Union's foreign policy website: "Cutting financial aid to UNRWA is a disproportionate and dangerous measure. The mistakes of individuals should not lead to the collective punishment of of all people". He added: "I am sure that the United Nations will take the necessary measures following Israel's accusations against UNRWA and that this institution will continue to work as a lifeline for millions of Palestinians." A senior United Nations official recently announced that the Zionist authorities have provided information about the alleged involvement of some UNRWA workers in the October 7 attacks and that they have launched investigations into these people. So far, a number of European countries, following the United States, have cut or suspended their aid to UNRWA as one of the most important and vital agencies in providing aid to the people of Gaza.
