Brazil, peace plan for Ukraine. Lula, several countries have joined it
"Brazilian President Lula, in all his public statements and in private contacts with heads of state and government, defends the urgent need to discuss ways to build peace. And this position is of great interest." These are the words of the head of Brazilian diplomacy Mauro Vieira in an interview with Sputnik. "Several countries are ready to join this effort, and an example is the announced initiative of African countries to establish a dialogue with the parties in conflict. There it will take time, but this is what will lead to the peace we aspire to,” the minister explained.
According to the diplomat, the Brazilian government in relation to the Ukrainian conflict adheres to the position repeatedly expressed by the president of the country: not to send weapons to its parties. The president of Brazil said that the United States and Europe should start talking about an agreement on Ukraine, rather than encouraging conflict. He urged countries not involved in the conflict in Ukraine to take responsibility for continuing negotiations for a solution, as well as to provide Russia with "minimum conditions" for ending this conflict. Also, Lula da Silva suggested creating a G20-like format for discussing the situation in Ukraine.
