Brazilian President: UN is Powerless to Face the Crimes of the Zionist Regime in Gaza
Responding to the UN's inability to fight the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, the President of Brazil said that the UN was no longer valuable. The Sputnik website reported on Wednesday (11/15/2023) that Brazilian President Lula da Silva criticized the United States' action in vetoing the Security Council's decision to implement a humanitarian ceasefire in Palestine. "The structure of the United Nations, established after the Second World War, is old," said the Brazilian President. "The United Nations of 1945 will no longer have value in 2023," he stressed Continuing his statement, Da Silva once again described the Zionist regime's crimes against Palestinian women and children in the Gaza Strip as acts of terrorism. "Therefore, we want to change the number of members and the way they work and end the veto," explained Lula da Silva. On October 18, Brazil submitted a resolution to the highest decision-making body of the United Nations to cancel the order imposed by the Israeli regime on Palestinian civilians regarding the transfer of all residents of the northern region to southern Gaza. In resolution S/2023/773, Brazil also called for a humanitarian ceasefire to allow the delivery of aid to civilians by UN aid agencies and partners, as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross and other organizations. 12 of the 15 members of the Security Council supported the resolution, but the US vetoed it
