British Prime Minister under suspicion, angle of benefiting family from trade deal with India

Britain has become a hot issue that the business agreement signed by Indian-origin British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's government with India is going to make huge profits for his family's company. A newspaper wrote that before the G-20 summit meeting in New Delhi, this issue has come up in the British media. There have been media reports, quoting some MPs and business experts, that there is concern at high levels in the government that the deal could benefit Akshata Murthy, the prime minister's wife, who has $500 million in shares in India-based Infosys. The Labor Party on Saturday evening demanded Sunak to be fully transparent about his wife's financial affairs as the biggest beneficiary of the deal between London and New Delhi is going to be Infosys. One economic expert said Sunak should be kept completely out of the trade talks. Labor Party leader Darren Jones said that Sunak should give accurate information about whether he is going to benefit from the deal and I expect him to announce this in the case of a trade deal with India. Infosys has signed deals with many British companies, after which thousands of workers will reach Britain and take advantage of the softening of visa policies in Britain. The bulk of Sunak and his wife's wealth comes from the Infosys company, which is owned by the Murthy family and is worth $63 billion in May.
