Can America force Russia to make concessions?

The Polish military considered the US president's threats to impose new sanctions against Russia to be diplomatic rhetoric. Polish Army General Boguslaw Paczk has stated that the imposition of new US sanctions against Moscow will not change anything.

According to Russia Today, Patsk, referring to Trump's threats that if Moscow does not stop the war in Ukraine, he will impose new sanctions and tariffs against Russia, added: "Washington does not have the ability to force concessions from Russian President Vladimir Putin."

He also considered the West's continued efforts to have Ukraine join NATO as one of the obstacles to achieving a ceasefire in the war between Moscow and Kiev.

US President Donald Trump had earlier threatened the Russian president that if he did not end the war in Ukraine soon, he would impose more tariffs and sanctions.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Russia's National Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday that US President Donald Trump has tried to confuse the world during his first week in office, but Russia will not be fooled.
