Commenting on Armenia's decision to hand over several villages to Azerbaijan, Kovaksologist Mohdiyan wrote: "As a result of the policy of ceding territories, Armenia may lose its position as a country that connects Iran and other West Asian countries to the EAEU region."

He added: "In an unstable situation, it is unlikely to be possible to invest in corridor connection projects. Territorial changes will also affect the geopolitical decisions of Armenia's allies. As a result, Baku will improve its position in competition with Armenia. It should also be taken into account that the goods are transported to Russia from the southern ports of Iran through the territory of Azerbaijan.
