Colombia's request to join South Africa's complaint against the Zionist regime

Colombia requested South Africa to join the complaint against the Zionist regime and to cooperate in the investigation of this regime's war crimes at the International Court of Justice.

South Africa accused the Zionist regime of violating the 1948 Genocide Convention during its military operations in the Gaza Strip and filed a complaint against this regime with the International Court of Justice on 29 December 2023, which was welcomed by many countries.

Shortly after South Africa's complaint, many South American countries, the 57-nation Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and many political activists and civil organizations around the world praised that country's action and emphasized their support.

According to the news published by Al Jazeera on Saturday morning, Colombia applied to the International Court of Justice, demanding that this country join South Africa's complaint against the Zionist regime regarding the genocide in Gaza, to ensure the security of the Palestinian people and to prevent this genocide.

Ireland had previously confirmed that Dublin would join the South African genocide case filed against the Zionist regime in the international court.

Last week, judges of the International Court of Justice, the highest judicial body of the United Nations, instructed the Zionist regime to take all necessary measures to ensure that the needed food and humanitarian aid reaches the Gaza Strip.

In early January, this court instructed the Zionist regime to refrain from any action that could be included in the definition of genocide.
