Continuation of Western speculation about cooperation between Russia and North Korea in the field of arms in Ukraine
The United States and its allies have accused Russia of using North Korean missiles against Ukraine and say the country is violating UN sanctions.
The United States, along with Ukraine and six other allies, has accused Russia of using North Korean-made ballistic missiles in a series of devastating airstrikes on Ukraine and says the country violated UN sanctions with its actions. As reported by the Associated Press, the statement from these countries said that Russia carried out attacks on Ukraine on December 30, January 2 and 6 using North Korean weapons, and also stated that such violations of United Nations resolutions have increased the suffering of the Ukrainian people, and Russia's war of aggression supports and weakens the global nonproliferation regime. These six countries are France, UK, Japan, Malta, South Korea and Slovenia. They accused Russia of abusing its position as a permanent member of the Security Council and warned that "violations like this make the world a much more dangerous place." In turn, the Russian representative to the UN, citing statements by John Kirby, a representative of the American National Security Council, noted that representatives of the Ukrainian Air Force emphasized that there is no evidence of the truth and no confirmation of the claims has been received from the United States. Vasily Nebenzya accused Ukraine of using American and European weapons to attack Christmas markets, residential buildings, women, elderly people and children in the Russian Belgorad and other Russian regions. Russia and North Korea have rejected any claims regarding the use of North Korean military weapons in Russia's war with Ukraine and considered Western claims in this regard to be unfounded.
