Continued armed conflict in Sudan
According to the AAAnews agency, the Sudanese army under the command of Abdul Fattah al-Barhan announced that several people were killed during the army's operation in the city of Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. The Sudanese army stressed that more than 20 members of the Rapid Reaction Force were killed or wounded in the cities of Omdurman, Bahri and Khartoum on Monday. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has declared a humanitarian catastrophe for Sudanese children following the outbreak of conflict in that country and stated that one child is killed or injured in Sudan every hour. The armed conflict in Sudan began on April 15 between the local army and the Rapid Reaction Force in the struggle for power and some resources, and international mediation to end the civil war and bring the conflicting parties to the negotiating table did not produce results.
