Demonstration of thousands of people in Europe against the Zionist regime
Street demonstrators in European capitals called on their governments to put pressure on the Zionist regime due to the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. According to the Anadolu News Agency, the cities of Toulouse, Nice and Paris in France have become the scene of demonstrations in support of Palestine. People gathered at the Place de la République in Paris and headed towards the Place de la Bastille, chanting slogans in support of Palestine.
Thomas Portes, deputy president of the French National Assembly and one of the participants in this demonstration, said that the Israeli (regime) began mass murder in the Gaza Strip after a short pause. He, pointing to the killing of Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories of the West Bank, noted that the illegal construction of Jewish settlements will lead to the killing of children and that the Israeli (regime) is carrying out ethnic cleansing. The deputy president of the French National Assembly, criticizing the international community and the French government for their silence regarding events in the Gaza Strip, vowed to continue demonstrations to put pressure on the Zionist regime. Also in Spain, including in the cities of Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, Granada and Madrid, people demonstrated in support of Palestine, called for an immediate ceasefire and sanctions against the Israeli regime, and called on the Spanish government to put pressure on the regime. Representatives of Spanish political parties such as Podemos also took part in this demonstration. The protesters demanded that the Spanish government sever diplomatic ties with the Zionist regime until a ceasefire is established in the Gaza Strip. In Vienna, the Austrian capital, demonstrators gathered in the central Mariahilf district to protest against the Zionist regime's renewed attacks following the end of a humanitarian pause. In Milan, Italy, people demonstrated to protest the Zionist regime's barbaric attacks on the Gaza Strip. About 1,000 people marched in Milan holding Palestinian flags and shouting “Free Palestine,” Al Jazeera reported. In various British cities, Palestinian supporters have been demonstrating for the eighth week in a row to protest the barbaric crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip. Last Saturday, hundreds of thousands of protesters of different nationalities, religions and classes gathered in central London and shouted protests against the barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime. Some protesters hugged white fabrics stained with red blood to protest the killing of Palestinian children. Statistics show that 80% of Britons support an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. And this is happening at a time when three weeks ago the deputies in the parliament of this country, who are supposed to represent the opinion of the people, did not agree to the proposal of one of the political parties of this country to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Moreover, since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip, the British government has declared its full support for the Zionist regime, ignoring the killing of Palestinians. Contrary to UN calls, the country opposes a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and views such a plan as beneficial to Palestinian resistance groups. Air, land and sea attacks by the Zionist army on various areas of the Gaza Strip, which have been reduced to ruins, continue with increasing intensity in various areas of the Gaza Strip, with the support of the United States and other supporters of this regime, so that, in addition to the bombing of residential buildings and a kindergarten in the strip, the Zionist occupiers also attack rescue vehicles. It should be noted that the Palestinian Independent Human Rights Commission announced on Saturday that 80% of the residents of the Gaza Strip have been forced to leave their homes due to difficult humanitarian conditions. The entity also reported that Israel's goal is to turn migration within the Gaza Strip into migration outside Palestine. Since Friday morning (December 1), the Israeli army has resumed its aggression against the Gaza Strip after the end of a ceasefire that lasted about a week and during which a prisoner exchange took place between the Tel Aviv regime and the Palestinian resistance. About 60 days after the attack of the Zionist regime on the defenseless people of the Gaza Strip, the number of martyrs reached 15 thousand 523 people, of which 6 thousand 600 were children and 4 thousand 300 were women. In addition, as a result of the attacks and crimes of the Zionist regime against Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, 41 thousand 316 Palestinians were injured and 7 thousand 500 went missing.
