Drone and Missile Attacks Rain on Two American Bases in Syria

Drone and missile attacks hit two United States military bases Al-Tanf and Conoco in Syria. The Al-Mayadeen Network reported Thursday (19/10/2023) that the Al-Tanf base in the border triangle of Syria, Iraq and Jordan was targeted by three drones. Reportedly, the drone was able to fly over US military bases and target them. No information has been released regarding the number of losses or casualties resulting from the attack. The source also reported that two missiles hit the US base in Conoco, located north of Deir Ezzor, Syria. According to news source al-Mayadeen, the Konoco base is on alert and American fighter planes and helicopters are flying over this area. Iraq's Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility Wednesday for attacks on two American bases, Ain al-Asad in Anbar province and Al-Harir base in Erbil, the center of Iraq's Kurdistan Region.
