UN warns of humanitarian disaster in West Bank due to Israeli military offensive

Following the continued Israeli military attacks on various areas of the West Bank, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has issued a statement warning that the military's incursions and attacks in the northern West Bank are causing serious humanitarian consequences and disasters.

On the 48th day of the Israeli military campaign in the northern West Bank, Israeli attacks on various areas of the region are still ongoing, and the invaders are still besieging the camps in the northern West Bank. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has ordered the Israeli military forces to continue their siege of Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank, at least until the end of this year.
Insiders in the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarm in the northern West Bank reported that the Israeli military is continuing its military attacks on the camp and has caused extensive damage by demolishing homes and buildings in the area. The Israelis have evicted tens of thousands of residents of Nur Shams camp and have again warned residents of several homes to evacuate.

Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), has condemned the Israeli occupation's demolition of homes in the West Bank, noting that the demolitions have had a devastating and devastating impact on the lives of thousands of Palestinians.
Lazzarini wrote on his personal page on the X social media platform: "The Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps have been almost completely emptied of their Palestinian residents, while much of the civilian infrastructure, including housing, continues to be destroyed and demolished. People are now facing the reality that they have nowhere to go again."
Palestinians being forcibly displaced by the Zionist army

Abdul Rahman Shadid, one of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement HAMAS, said regarding the attacks carried out by the Zionists in the West Bank that, with its demolition operations and forcible displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank regions, the Zionist regime is determined to conclude and completely eliminate the refugee issue.

The Hamas commander said that the Zionists continue to demolish people's homes in the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams camps and noted that Israel's goal in carrying out these criminal acts is to eliminate the Resistance and its intention is to expand the scope of these operations to other camps in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance has emphasized that the Palestinian people must stand firm in confronting these attacks and has noted that there is a need to increase the Resistance against Israel and the Zionist settlers, and that not even a single inch of Palestinian land should remain a haven of peace and security for the Zionist invaders.

The Zionist regime's attacks on residential, medical, educational and religious buildings in the West Bank are being carried out under the guise of strong American support and the silence and inaction shown by European countries that pride themselves on being defenders of human rights.

In its press release, the European Union has only been content to call on the Zionist regime to respect international law, protect civilians in its military operations, and allow refugees to return safely to their homes. The truth is that European governments do not condemn the fundamental issue, namely the Zionist attacks in the West Bank, but rather call on the Zionists to ensure only the safety of the citizens of the West Bank, while there are no military forces in the region other than the People's Resistance to confront the Zionist invasion and aggression.
Zionist settlers, aided by Israeli soldiers, carry out daily attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Meanwhile, there are people in the occupied territories under the pseudonym of Israel who are more clearly identifying the Zionist regime's goals in attacking Gaza and the West Bank. One of these people is Gideon Levi, a columnist for the left-wing newspaper Haaretz. In an article published in the left-wing newspaper, Levi wrote: "The West Bank, together with Gaza, constitute the Palestinian territories. Even though the West Bank is ostensibly under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian Authority, Israel continues to control the lives and deaths of its residents."

Regarding the way the regime cooperates with the Zionist settlers, Gideon Levy says: "they want to wage a full-scale war in the West Bank; a war that will enable them to implement their grand plan to expel the Palestinians en masse. In a terrifying situation, this is the only plan Israel has for resolving the Palestinian issue". As the Israeli analyst explains, the brutal attacks that the Israelis are carrying out against the people of the West Bank could be the reason for the emergence of another Intifada, that is, a public uprising, by the Palestinians.../
