Evangelicals pressure Trump to repay favors, urge him to allow West Bank annexation
A report published in the American newspaper, The New York Times, has revealed that Evangelical Christians, who provided great service to US President, Donald Trump, during the last election, where almost 80 percent voted for him, are now waiting for him to repay the favor and allow Israel to annex the West Bank, claiming a promise that God supposedly made to the Jews in the Bible.

Efrat Livni, a New York Times columnist, has reported that Evangelical Christians are seeking a way to seize Palestinian land in the West Bank that has been internationally allocated for a future Palestinian state.
The New York Times added that prominent evangelical supporters of Donald Trump are keen to visit Israel and sign petitions calling for the annexation of the West Bank, and are lobbying for support in the US Congress for their demands.
The American newspaper reported that Evangelical leaders are part of the Christian Zionist movement and believe that the land of Palestine was given to the Jews in the Bible.
According to the New York Times, one of the most prominent groups working in this system is the American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI), which opposes any kind of US pressure on Israel.
The report stated that evangelical supporters of Trump hope that he will support the West Bank annexation plan to end any discussion about the creation of a Palestinian state in the future.
The New York Times has said that some of Trump's decisions have fulfilled the wishes of evangelical Christians, as last month he supported a plan to forcibly evacuate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, and in January he revoked an executive order by former US president Joe Biden that allowed restrictions on Israeli settlers in Palestinian land in the West Bank.
Trump has also appointed members of the Zionist-minded Christian movement to fill key positions in his administration, including Paula White Kane as an advisor to the new White House Office of Faith.
