On Monday, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, at a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershnin, stressed that the West's efforts to neutralize Syria's measures to restore security and stability throughout the country are fruitless.

According to the news agency SANA; At this meeting, Assad discussed relations between the two countries and coordination between them in connection with recent events, as well as issues related to the fight against terrorism, the return of Syrian refugees to their country and the joint efforts of the two countries.

The Syrian President said: Western actions to disrupt the efforts of the Syrian government to restore security and stability in their country will prove fruitless, and these efforts are consistent with the goals of the Syrians to improve the situation and stability.

Bashar al-Assad also stressed Syria's support for Russia's position on the war in Ukraine and the ineffectiveness of the West's efforts against Moscow in this regard, saying: America and its Western allies are losing their political and economic power in the world.

Sergei Varshnin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, also pointed out that the United States and its Western allies are losing their political and economic power at the global level due to Syria's recent political successes at the Arab and international levels and the fight against terrorism, praising and emphasizing the constant Russia's support for Syria in protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
