ECOWAS says it is ready to make a solution with the countries that left the community
The Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, has said it is ready to make a solution with the three countries that announced their withdrawal from the large West African bloc.
It is after the decision taken by the Heads of State of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso to withdraw from the important regional economic institution, an issue that has been praised by citizens in the area. ECOWAS has announced that the three countries were important members of the community and that it is committed to finding a political solution to resolve the conflict between it and those countries. The leaders of the three countries of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso led by military rulers have accused the West African regional community of collaborating with big nations to disrupt their countries. They also blame the illegal, barbaric and illegal sanctions imposed against their countries, which undermine the lives of ordinary citizens. However, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sierra Leone, Timothy Musa Kabba, has said that he is disappointed by the move and added that ECOWAS is not pressured by foreign countries but its goal is to ensure regional security and stability. The three countries are committed to building a new economic bloc instead of ECOWAS.
