Emirati, Bahraini 'military advisers' killed by al-Shabaab Somalia
Five military trainers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain have been killed in an attack believed to be carried out by members of the al-Shabaab terrorist group in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud of Somalia, while confirming the reports of the killing of the 'military advisers' of the UAE and Bahrain, has called for strict action against the perpetrators of the attack. The UAE Ministry of Defense has said in a statement that the bodies of four military trainers who were killed in the attack against the General Gordon military training college in Mogadishu arrived yesterday Sunday in Abu Dhabi. The fifth trainer killed in the attack on Saturday is a Bahraini citizen. According to the Garowe news organization, the person responsible for the attack was already inside the military academy in Mogadishu, and it is not clear how he managed to enter the heavily guarded camp. Members of the al-Shabaab terrorist group President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud of Somalia has instructed the country's security agencies to conduct a detailed investigation immediately, to identify the planners of the terrorist attack. More information says that the person who carried out the attack sneaked into the camp and started shooting indiscriminately, mostly targeting the military advisers of the UAE and Bahrain. The al-Shabaab terrorist group, which since 2007 has been carrying out attacks against security officers and civilians in Somalia as well as against foreign soldiers in the country, has announced its involvement in Saturday's attack.
