The British trade unions Rmt and Aslef have announced several days of strike action in the wage dispute with the train operating companies operating in England. While an agreement had been reached with the public operator Network Rail, the protest continues with the companies in the sector, represented by the Rail Delivery Group, after the unions rejected the latest offer for a salary increase, judging it inadequate. The members of the Rmt union, the most combative and best organized among the railway personnel, will cross arms on May 13, while the Aslef train drivers on the 12th and 31st of the same month and also on June 3rd, precisely on the day in which the FA Cup final with the historic Manchester derby between City and United. Disruption is expected on the same date at another event, the Epsom Derby, the famous English horse race.
