EU denounces construction of over 7,000 units for settlers in occupied West Bank
The European Union has condemned the latest decision by the far-right Israeli administration to build more than 7,000 new illegal units for settlers across the occupied West Bank, in open defiance of international outcry over the Tel Aviv regime's land theft and settlement expansion policies. "This exceeds the total number advanced during all of 2022, which was a record year in terms of the expansion of illegal settlements," said Nabila Massrali, EU spokeswoman for foreign affairs and security policy. She added: "The EU reiterates its position that the settlements are illegal under international law."
Thousands of people poured onto the streets of the occupied West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip to condemn the brutal Israeli military raid on the northern West Bank city of Nablus, where at least 11 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured. Protesters took part in night demonstrations organized by resistance group Lions' Den and denial of Israeli acts of aggression and massacres. Participants waved the Palestinian national flag and held up images of those killed in Israeli military raids in Jenin refugee camp, Nablus city and East Quds, and chanted slogans in support of the resistance front. Protesters came on motorcycles or cars in solidarity with the Lions' Den group and set fire to tires at intersections while shouting loud chants of "God is great".
